The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution to allocate UAH 298 million from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. This will enable the completion of four projects in Zaporizhzhia Oblast – three residential buildings and one medical facility that were damaged by Russian shelling.
These are the facilities whose construction was started in previous years at the expense of the Armed Aggression Relief Fund. These projects will receive the necessary additional funding to complete the work as early as 2025. Among them:
- A house on Zestafonska Street: 70% of the building was damaged after a shell hit. Thanks to the new funding, 186 people (72 apartments) will be able to return to their homes.
- A building on Sobornyi Avenue: 40% of the structures were damaged. After the reconstruction, 60 residents (21 apartments) will be able to return to their homes.
- House on Sobornyi Avenue/Stalevarov Street: after 30% of the structures were damaged, 24 apartments (50 people) will be restored and the entire five-storey building, which is home to 312 people, will be thermally modernised.
- City Emergency and Ambulance Hospital: the medical building damaged by the blast wave in 2024 will be reconstructed. After the renovation, the hospital will be able to provide better services to patients, including internally displaced persons and the military, improve accessibility for patients with limited mobility, and upgrade equipment.
The allocation of funds will allow not only to complete important infrastructure facilities, but also to provide decent living conditions and medical care for residents of the frontline region.
